Once upon a time there was,
a man who had it all,
he had the mansions and the cars,
he owned the world it seemed.
He had some children and a dog,
a beauty at his side,
and had the world beneath his thumb,
he never lacked a thing.

Although this man, he had it all,
he had no peace within.
He played some golf,
and saw the world,
but nothing seemed to help,
He drank the rum,
and tasted wine,
but none could satisfy.

He threw his body to the dust,
and wept for all to hear.
"Why do I have to own it all,
and yet have none at all,
and have to toss and turn at night,
all for the lack of sleep?"

God saw his tears and sat up straight,
and sent him Gabriel,
who took his hand and wiped a tear,
and tried to calm the storm.

He held him to his chest and said,
dear son you must not weep,
for God's been waiting all your life,
for such a time as this.
You've got to reach out to the one,
who gives peace all for free,
and all the things that come with it,
like love, and joy and dreams."

He slowly opened teary eyes,
and thought he'd had a dream,
but when he rubbed his eyes again,
he saw the angel go.

All at once he felt alone,
and lost the will to live,
and closed and opened cupboard doors,
and grabbed it with his hand.

He held the bottle in his hand,
filled to the brim with pills,
and watched it through his clouded eyes,
and knew the end had come.

The bottle opened with a click,
he watched the white pills shine,
and picked up one to start his fall,
when bright became the room!

"Hold on dear child,
don't be in haste,
your time has not yet come!
Just follow me and don't look back,
you won't regret a day,
For peace and love and joy and smiles,
I offer you today.
For if you reach your hand to me,
I'll warm it up with mine,
I'll give you peace forevermore,
you'll get to live once more.
For life begins with me dear child,
eternal life it's true,
I'll give you love and hope and dreams,
beyond your wildest dreams.

He looked above him to the Lord,
and touched the father's heart,
and dropped the bottle to the floor,
and grabbed his father's hand.

and grabbed his father's hand.

The ending is great, and it would be even greater if this were the ending for all who find themselves in this type of situation.

This is a very beautiful piece, it gives hope to so many especially during Christmas when so many people feel hopeless and alone, this is beautiful and will touch the lives of many. Get ready for your blessing for being so willing to be used for God's Glory and Honor. God Bless you always.
