Poetry
The seagull flew out
over the open sea.
A small speck far out
on the horizon.
The cloud filled gray sky
freed long streamers of
brilliant light to glisten in shining
pools on top of the grey ocean water.
Alone it flew,
further and further
out into the unknown,
the brightness glossing its wings
as it ranged in and out of the
radiant streamers.
Probing, searching,
flying, and soaring,
alone in creation,
crying out,
its plaintive call
for God to hear.
