I love Christmas. Its a time to really reflect on Jesus birth and His purpose, and as the new year comes around, time to reflect on our purpose. Some people do not believe we should celebrate Christmas like the world does. No parties, decorations, no joy? Oiy. YES it is good to celebrate! I will celebrate Jesus! Phillipians 4:6 tells us to "rejoice in the Lord, again I say rejoice!".
DECORATING-
I don't know this for a fact but I am sure God wants us to decorate for Him and glorify Him through our creativity. So go ahead, put up some lights! Put up a tree. Make it beautiful for Him. He will love to look at it even more than you do. Let your 3 year old(or if you have a little kid) make an ornament and hang it on the tree for all to see. God loves the hearts of little children and he loves to see their artwork!
EAT A CANDY CANE
2 reasons-1-they taste good and 2-they commemorate Christ. the upside down J is for Jesus. The cane shape is from the cane of the shepherds who welcomed Jesus into the world that night. The red is for His blood, the white is because the blood of Jesus makes us as "white as snow." Enjoy the candy cane! Remember His goodness and what this season is all about!

SING CHRISTMAS CAROLES

God loves to hear your voice even if the neighbors don't, LOL. He loves when we remember the "Silent Night" in which the son of God was born. He loves to hear us praise His holy name! And besides, singing Christmas carols may remind OTHERS what Christmas is all about too :)
HAVE A PARTY-
celebrate Jesus! Enjoy good food and remember His blessings. Talk to your friends(while eating good dip and chips, turkey, potatos, or whatever else you eat at parties) and tell of Gods goodness. Even Jesus talked to His friends over good meals. And He shared the love of the Father with them.
BUY PRESENTS-
Why? Because your friends will be glad you remembered them, and God will be glad that you have a giving heart. He will feel good about teaching you His ways, ways of love, generosity, and appreciation. When we bless others, we bless God. And come on, it IS fun to open presents, no matter HOW old you are!
PRAISE PRAISE PRAISE-
THANK YOU JESUS FOR YOUR LOVE. THANK YOU FOR COMING TO EARTH AS A POOR MAN TO SHOW US HOW TO LIVE. HELP US TO SHARE THE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST THIS HOLIDAY SEASON AND THE WHOLE YEAR THROUGH, AMEN
