In the corner lies God's Word,
from long ago by some unheard.
A message from Him to you,
sitting there, ever true.
Who knows what is in there?
God gave us a message to share
though not wrapped with a pretty bow.
A gift more precious than we know.

It tells of a babe in the manger
now no longer a stranger.
Wise men sought his birthplace
while King Herod gave chase.
Angels told of His birth
to lowly shepherds on the earth.
Within this book, it tells His story
and how the angels sang of His glory.

God's "Holy Word" now a gift.
When you open the cover and lift.
Handle with care
its pages testify of God's glory to share.
His love so divine we will never know
in depth the passion that He did bestow.
The sacrifice given and victory was won
by God's only son.
