"So Jesus is not ashamed to call us brothers. He says 'I will declare your name to my brothers; in the presense of the congregation, I will sing your praises."
Hebrews 2:11-12

I am pretty sure that in this verse, Jesus is talking to the Father. And if I am wrong, please correct me, but to me, that makes sense, and it doesn't make sense that he would be talking to anyone else. And besides, he is our brother, in that He walked on earth as a human and shared in our life, the joys and the pain of humanity. And God is our Father and God is Jesus Father.
HOWEVER-Jesus is ROYALITY. He is the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. And we are still His brothers! Wow! Guess that means we are royality, huh? Kinda makes you feel humble. Kings in the past, like kings of countries would give their very best to their sons or daughters. Only the best for their boy or girl. The wealth that the king had was passed down to his son or daughter. When your father is royalty, YOU are royality, its through blood.......
WEll, we are related to the King by blood. So whatever we ask for of our Father, the King is ours! Back in the days of the kings and queens the prince or princess would go to the king and ask for a certain thing. They would sometimes begin with the sentence-"If it please your majesty, may I have----". When we ask "thy will be done Lord" its the same thing as saying Father, king, if this is what you want, let it be done unto me." There are times when we want something for our own selfish desire that our father will not fulfil, because He knows better! But He does know our needs and will give according to our needs and His will. He is in control of our lives. ANd he is our father just as He is Jesus Father.
The next time you feel forsaken by the world, go to your Father, the King! He will make it right. Not only is He a Father, but a kind, loving Father and a good king. He knows what His children need and He will stop at nothing to see that our needs are fulfilled.

Be blessed today as you associate yourself with royalty, the royalty that comes from Jesus calling us brother, and God calling us children!
