He went to college after a long time off formal studies. After three gruelling hours (6-9pm), and now over 50, he could hardly remember the essentials of life. Fortunately the weather was warm, so he got up and left for home reflecting on what had gone on. But just about 200meteres to his house he remembered, “Oh! I forgot my coat in College”. He felt it was too late to go back and collect it.

Funnily he also had a part-time job as a Sessional Lecturer in the same college and had just begun his lecturing during the day-time session. He pull out another coat for his daytime sessions, went with it on a Monday. The weather was good again as he left the college. On Wednesday he came back to the same class to teach in a particular classroom he had been two days ago, saw a coat lying around , examined it, and his mouth fell open,

"What?! Did I leave this coat the last time I came?," he wondered. He knew it was his and he had been in that class, teaching. “What is going on with me? ”he surmised. “I had forgotten a coat in a classroom less than a week ago that I am yet to collect, and here is another one I forgot”. He quickly grabbed it and put it on his bag so that he would not forget it.
His part-time studies were once a week so he looked forward to collecting the first coat he had forgotten the next day.

Could you believe that when he got there, this coat which he had hung on his chair, had been isolated in a corner of that classroom. Quickly with a grin on his face and arriving earlier than usual, he unceremoniously went straight to the angry, rejected and dejected, lonely, almost quarantined coat, which was now under suspicion and possibly surveillance. As he approached he could almost hear the coat saying, " What did I do to deserve this humiliation. I have served you well over these years? Why have you put me through this indignity?" He pretended he wanted that chair for some reason and with a straight face he carried it together with the coat to where he normally sat with a big relief, vowing not to forget either of the coats that day. There was a lady in the class but he prayed and hoped she did not noticed was going on.

And so he came with a coat that evening and as the two coats were united, he left after the lecture, wearing two coats. What a tale of two coats!

And guess what? I am that man.
