God is not an afterthought!
Did I turn that iron off?
Did I leave that pot cooking?
Did I talk to God today?
He is
The very One who gave you thought
The blessed One who saved your soul
The only One who could.
God is not an afterthought!
Where are those keys?
I really need to organize that closet.
Where did I put that Bible?
He is
The one who created you for His pleasure
The precious One who loved you even in your sin
The only One who would.
God is not an afterthought!
I should have worn the blue shirt.
I could have said that differently.
I should have prayed today.
He is
The One upon whom your thoughts should linger constantly -- Pray without ceasing...
The One for whom you should live your life -- Glorify God in all...
The One to whom you owe your life -- He saved you from the pit...
The One for whom you lay aside your will -- Not my will, Lord...
The One through whom all blessings flow -- the Lord has blessed us...
The One from whom your strength comes -- I can do all things...
The One from whom your peace comes -- Peace that surpasses...
He is, He is, He is
He is not
An afterthought.
