Stronger and Stronger, Brighter and Brighter
That is God's vision for all the righteous
Whether on the mountain or in the valley
Ever singing the praise of their King.

Better and better, Higher and higher,
They rise and mount up with eagle's wings
In crisis they see great, great glory coming
In famine they see abundance in the offing.

Their earth suit may wear, tear, bring a tear,
Yet they look up to the One Who does care
All adverse winds drive them to His bosom,
The place secure, a well-watered garden.

In fire or in the furnace they’re refined;
To radiate the beauty of the Great Divine.
In poverty they abound to make many rich.
In plenty they remain channels of distribution.

They follow their Leader, Most High, the Holy Wind;
Set their sail to catch His upward draft.
They grow and glow, not moan and groan.
And know they are headed for a heavenly haven.




The path of the righteous

Nevertheless, the righteous will hold to their ways,
and those with clean hands will grow stronger.

Job 17:9 NIV
They go from strength to strength,
every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

The righteous flourish like the palm tree,
and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

But the path of the righteous
is like the light of dawn,

until the full day.
