Held Together

I seek the wonders of a blue horizon
Is all I ask for forever out of reach
The walk of faith leads a narrow way
Though I try to move, its here I stay

For every step walks a parallel course
The way ahead leaves me far behind
The struggle at times to see the light
To clear the path, from unholy sight

Whats undone becomes the done
The future lost in a lonely past
My eyes sting with tears of sorrow
For hope that fades in every morrow

Rain that flows for who I am
A careless disregard of trust
For things that came and went
Of wasted energy that‘s been spent

And drowning in the sea of consciousness
With right and wrong contrived
Of all that wanes when life is lost
The truth is damned at any cost

There is One whose anchor weighs
And holds me to the truth
Tethered to facts of life above
Held together by His Holy Love
