Let me rest in your arms, O Lord, only for a little while. The screams and insults of the world can be difficult to bear. The violence and hatred invades all safe places. It seems soemtimes you are no where to be found. But you are comforting those who are hurting with your unfailing love.

Let me rest in your arms, O Lord. Let me breathe in your presence. I feel your hands around my heart shielding me from the arrows and swords of this earth. Many refuse your presence in their lives, O Lord. But I come with my hands lifted up to heaven and my head bowed. I'm ready to recieve you, O Lord. Give me that moment of reassurance that you are still above me. You are still ever watchful and faithful to those who call your name.

Let me rest in your arms, dear Lord. I know you are my God.
