BACK TO THE CROSS

When I find myself faraway
Nearly going astray
I go back to meet Jesus
At the feet of the cross

Imagine the long tortuous way
The way of our Lord to the cross
Determined, He did not sway
But resolved to remove the dross

Now the Gold can shine bright
World darkness may be gross
Lord Jesus is our Light
He cancelled the carnal albatross

He removed sin holding us bound
Our loving humble Boss
Now our lives can be sound
The prince of this world is at a loss

Christ has made us Light of the world
On account of Calvary’ Cross
We have been made salt
To season the worldly rot

Now I can live swell!
Abundant life is mine
The Lord has the keys of hell
With Him I daily dine.
