Hope is one of the big three of requirements for Christians. Hope, faith,and love is what sets us apart from other religions and makes us who we are or who we strive to be.

As a project manager, I always tell my workers, at the start of any new project, to hope for the best, but prepare for the worse. This is true with any human endeavor, because no matter what we hope for things can turn bad.

That is why hope does not stand alone. We have to back up our hope with faith and love. Together these acts make a powerful force.

We have seen the power of hope again and again in world affairs. During the darkest hours of World War II, Winston Churchill gave the people of London hope. He knew that when hope was lost, all was lost.

I can not imagine living without hope. To me, hope equals a chance. A chance for a better life for my family. A chance to make a difference out there. I can't imagine being a cold timid soul, afraid to speak up.

Why do so many people speak out in oppressive regimes? Because of hope; the hope given to them by God. God doesn't want us to be cold and timid. God wants us to have a chance. To take that chance and do His work.

It won't be easy. Nothing worth doing is ever easy, but with the right amount of hope, faith, and love, it can be done.
