Moses as the leader of Israel
Led the Israelites out of Egyptian hell
And although they always rebelled
In prayer they were upheld.

When he left them to get the law
They began to sin to their core.
They revelled and revelled some more
Did abomination that you never saw,


Aaron was cajoled, and influenced
To make an image of offence
‘The people made me do it’ was his defence.
But Moses was not amused, just incensed.

He threw down the tablets of stone
On which God’s writing and will was shown
He was angry, very angry to the bone
You can see it in his body language and tone.
