I’m a new convert
A babe who has little faith
Don’t expect me to walk
I can barely crawl

I’m a new convert
For at least a year
I will stumble & fall
Standing on my own I get wobbly

I’m a new convert
Please don’t let me alone
Have a lot of patience & care
Teach me all you know so I can be strong like you

I’m a new convert
There are many things I need to learn
Prayer, sacrifice, faith, forgiveness and so many other good things

I’m a new convert
Teach me about my Lord
Teach me His Word & how to apply it to my life
Teach me even about the valleys and deserts I will have to go through

I’m a new convert
Please spend time with me
Tell me of your victories & battles
Tell me how you became a strong Christian
Then one day I will be strong enough to stand on my own
And teach a new convert like me
