Missions
First, I wanted to know why, 1 out of every 6 people in the world, call themselves Muslims and next I wanted to know why Muslims reject the Bible, if they truly believe in the God of Abraham.
Then I researched all I could about Muslims and the Koran.
What I found:
Most Muslims read the Koran in the original Arabic, if they even read it at all. Most Muslims don’t understand this original language. This leads to a similar situation, as when most Christians read the Bible in Latin. They depended on others to interpret it for them or read it for them.
The Koran is filled with quotes from the Bible that have been taken out of context and so the true meaning and message that God wanted us to get from His Holy Word, is completely lost.
Mohammed was exposed to the teachings of the Old and New Testament from Jews and Christians.
He was illiterate and so he depended on others to write the Koran for him.
The second reason I read it was, because I take what God says seriously. He has told us that when all of the Gospel has been preached to all the world, then the Son of Man shall return. My daily prayer is, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, On earth as it is in Heaven.”
If you have ever read the book, “Eternity In Their Hearts” or studied, about unreached people of the world, you will know that God has put the desire in everyone to know God and His Son, Jesus Christ. God has put in every person’s heart, a way to reach them. We just have to know their cultural background better and then God will open the door for us to be able to preach the “Good News of Jesus Christ”.
I do not recommend reading the Koran if you haven’t read and studied the Bible. I do not recommend reading it, if you are not filled with the Holy Spirit.
God asks us to test all things, but you must start with the Truth, the Way and the Life, first.
