When I hear a great sermon
That brings me to my knees
Or sing praises to Jesus
His Majesty, to please

I am ashamed
I am not worthy of His love
My tears fall like the rain
That He sends from above

How could it be
That He loves me so much?
It’s so hard to measure
The depth of such.

I am ashamed
When I think of the years
I turned Him away
And lived in my fears.

When I am ashamed
He showers His love all the more
When I sense His Holy touch,
Shame melts into the floor

He takes my shame away…..
And replaces it with …...JOY.

Julia, I love this! I am so glad Jesus tooks away my sin and shame at Calvary, and instilled the desire to always please him to the best of my ability. Thank you for sharing these beautiful words. Bessie

Julia, this is so good and inspiring. I, too, am ashamed when I think of all the times I have let God down. Only He is worthy, and all my opinions of myself bring me to shame when I meditate on the truth. Thank you for sharing what the Holy Spirit has given you. May the good Lord continue to inspire you. Thanks Julia for your sincerity. You put down in words what many of us think. Paul said, I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ. I wonder if we could all say that. Well, I know I can't all the time. Sometimes I feel ashamed that I am not more on fire for the Lord. Keep writing Julia. Your writing inspires others.
