Within the Veil: Eternity Found

CHAPTER 1: The Creation

There was a place behind time, a time before place,
where no moment was past, no point distant in space.
In this dimensionless place without distance or time,
there was nothing to separate, limit, or bind.
They shared one existence: the Father, the Son,
and the Spirit, united, the Three who are One.

In their being was power, power unbounded,
for no boundaries existed, all things they surrounded.
In their being was knowledge of all that could be,
for there was yet no being, apart from the Three.
In their being was beauty, the definition of good,
and there was yet no evil, for they alone stood.

But knowledge and power were only a part,
and beauty and goodness were only a start.
At the core of their being, before and above
all other expressions, their essence was love.
But like a word never spoken, or a seed never sown,
their love had no object, for the Three were alone.

So in the beginning from which all axes climb,
they created the cosmos we call space and time.
Then the Father created, from His knowledge and power,
a world where His beauty and goodness could flower.
The Son spoke into being what the Father had thought,
and the Spirit moved over all they had wrought.

They created the heavens and the angelic band.
They created the Earth, both the sea and the land.
They created the mountains, the rivers, the streams,
and meadows of flowers and forests of trees,
and the beasts and the fish and the birds of the air,
and all they created was good, clean, and fair.

In each creature, by pairs, God gave them seed,
that when two came together life would proceed.
Kind after its kind, that was how it would be,
a shadow of God’s deepest mystery.
For God’s final purpose was to provide
Kind after His kind; for Himself, a bride.

So the Three came together close to the earth,
for the final act of creation week's work.
The Son scooped some clay from the newly made land,
and as the Father directed, He molded a man.
Then the Spirit, to earth and heaven unite,
breathed into the clay their own living light.

All the creatures fell silent as they knelt on the sod
from which had been fashioned the image of God.
And God gave man rule over all their domain,
to love and protect them and call them by name.
God’s love and glory from the heart of man shone,
but all was not good, for the man was alone.

As the man was created to be God’s reflection,
God’s love, in His image, required expression.
Man needed another to make him complete,
on whom he could pour out that love so replete.
So God brought forth woman out of man’s side
and creation rejoiced as he was joined to His bride!

The two, in their union, reflected the Three,
a symbol of God’s perfect harmony.
God gave them to live in a garden of bliss,
where no tear ever came and naught was amiss.
They walked with the Father, the Spirit, the Son,
Whose life gave them purpose, Whose love made them one.

With no need for covering, having nothing to hide,
they were naked and free where no shame could abide.
They had no need of possessions, or honor, or fame,
as proof of their worth for they knew whence they came.
They knew who they were and by whom they were formed.
They were cloaked in God’s purpose, by His glory adorned.

God gave them two missions as His image on Earth:
to govern creation; and to give children birth.
He gave them authority and power to rule
over all of the beasts and the physical world,
and He gave them an intimate love for each other
from which would come children, the whole world to cover.
