But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. (Gen 6:8)
But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering,(Gen.4:4)

Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned.(Gen39:4)

"And I will make the Egyptians favorably disposed toward this people, so that when you leave you will not go empty-handed.(Ex3:21)

The LORD had made the Egyptians favorably disposed toward the people, and they gave them what they asked for; so they plundered the Egyptians.(Ex12:36)

And the boy Samuel continued to grow in stature and in favor with the LORD and with men.

8 He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
he seats them with princes
and has them inherit a throne of honor.
"For the foundations of the earth are the LORD's; upon them he has set the world.

Favor is God’s grace bestowed on us. It is unmerited benevolence- God’s riches at Christ’s expense. We were enemies of God, God-haters. Each one had gone astray, transgressed God’s laws, disobedient, rebellious, sometimes God-mocking, selfish, blind, naked, poor, wretched and yet we boasted of our sight our fine apparel, our property and dignity.

Yet God ignored all this filthiness and accepted us because of the price Jesus paid for us
Favor takes you from the back, ignores those in front of you and puts you right a t the top of the queue and says, ‘You’re next’. You will be completely shocked, embarrassed, mouth opened mind-blown apart. And you’re lost for words.
This was my experience recently at a Christian conference attracting over 8,000 people.

We had just finished an awesome session with lots of prophetic utterances and glorious anointed praise and worship.

It was time for lunch and what stood out for me was a statement, ‘Favor is not fair.’
There were four restaurants amongst over hundred exhibitors and we had to choose which queue to join to get our lunch. There was a particular restaurant whose queue that was like river Mississippi. I had eaten their food before and I knew their food was divine. Your mouth watered a long way before you got near the food. I was tempted to go to another queue to avoid a long waiting time but I decided to persevere and join the longer queue. The movement on this queue was at a painful snail speed.

While in the queue I often envied those who had passed the test and sat down to eat. I wondered when my turn would come

Midway down the service point I saw some one beckon on me to come. It was a well-known lady I consider a spiritual mother. She was comfortably seated and eating. I was wary of leaving my position in case someone takes my place. Obtaining permission from the lady behind me I went to speak with my mama.

As I got there she handed me a packed lunch from the same restaurant I was heading for. I was almost embarrassed that I had jumped the queue. However I had a particular dish in mind and told her was I was going for. She immediately told a lady who was seating in fro of her to go and give me what I wanted. I kept thinking, ‘What’s going on ? What a commanding power. This is favor. Is it fair’ I was seeing the fulfillment of the word, ‘favor is not fair’.

I sat down and within a few minutes I had what I wanted and began to eat and kept thinking, ’favor is not fair.’ Yet I was delighted to be having my fill.

Get ready. You’re next on the line for favor. God will take you from the back and take you to the front. You might be in a long queue and wondering, ”When is it going to be my turn?’
God will beckon on you to come forward. You may say you don’t deserve it but God will say, ‘It does not matter. Favor may not be fair but I want to give it to you anyway’

Your food is ready-made; your place prepared. In spite of all those who are in front or gone ahead of you, you shall not miss what God has ordained for you.

Just as I had what I wanted- not what I was offered, God will give you the desire of your heart and your joy will be full to overflowing.

Favor may not be fair but the Lord will favor whom He will favor.
