As butterflies flit about
On lovely spring days
In carefree, graceful waltzes
Clad in colorful array...

So my memories dance about
Through my heart and my mind,
But like dreams upon waking
They fade in due time.

Like friends who have brightened
A lonely afternoon,
I bid them to stay...
Must you leave me so soon?

But then comes this thought,
Just a whisper, so still...
Preserve all thy memories
With parchment and quill.

So I opened my book
And started to write
The memories and stories of
Linda Lee Wright.

Memories, once dim,
From neglect and long years,
Stepped out from the past
Bringing laughter and tears.

Their worth has no measure,
And if it be told,
They've brought me more pleasure
Than diamonds and gold.

My memories, now captured,
Can never depart...
They will always and ever
Be at home in my heart.
