Once upon a time, there were three little kittens. They were all playing hide and seek. One kitten was hiding behind a rock. The other kitten was hiding in some tall grass. The third kitten was looking all over for them.
He looked in the barn and found a mouse. "You're not my brothers" said the kitten.
He looked in a pile of straw, but all he found was a sleeping calf. You're not my brothers" said the tiny kitten to the calf. So he went on looking.
He went out into the barnyard to see if he could find them there.
He looked under a feed trough. "Not there". He looked and looked and looked but still could not find them.
He became very scared because he thought he looked everywhere possible. So he started to cry. He was scared and all alone.
By this time his brothers had been waiting to be found for so long that they fell asleep. They didn't hear his crying.
But there was one kitty that did. It was his mommy. She came running to see what was wrong. While she was cleaning him, he told her of their hide and seek game and how he searched everywhere but couldn't find them.
Mommy knew just what to do. All she had to do was to call to them and they would come running. And sure enough they did.
The little kitten wasn't scared and alone anymore.
He felt safe with his mommy and very hungry. So they all went into the barn and drank some warm milk and fell fast asleep.

The End.

This is a cute story. With colorful illustrations it would be great for reading to toddlers, Let us know when it is published.
