Poetry is my first language
That was born within my heart
My Saviour carefully placed it there-
A delightful gift, right from the start.
Poetry is my first language
That is quietly shared with others
It speaks of seasons, peace and great joy-
As it moves along to my sisters and brothers.
Poetry is my first language
A language written with love
Love for the Lord who guides us-
Along the path that leads
To our Home above.
Poetry is my first language
A language known to few
Bringing smiles and cheer
And taking away fear -
Words that are meant
Especially for you.
