There is the Heart that desires the best for you,
Which also has the power to bring it to pass;
There’s no one like this One who is as true,
As such, your cares on Him can be cast;

He has brought you out of darkest plight,
Holding your breath within His hand,
As you have never left His sight,
His love provokes for you gracious commands;

His plans are of such peaceful persuasion,
His love for you knows much higher planes;
What is your end but fleshed-out salvation;
Consummate blessing will be His last aim;

May you know the love that’s beyond sight,
With its utmost length and height and depth;
May He always be your sought-out might,
As He fills you with a joyful breath;

And I will dance at your realized blessing,
For it will simply praise Him on high;
And I will see your life itself confessing,
How His presence has always been nigh;

There is a throne for you by which you’ll judge
Those fallen angels that have harassed you;
These ones who aimed at you with unholy grudge,
Evidence of how the Lord’s plan is true;

And one day, you’ll look behind to see,
Two friends who’ve followed like devoted pets;
One is Goodness, with her sister, Mercy;
As you complete the race, as Time sets;

Once rent by the things of this sad life,
For you this Heart has then healed the gash;
He has been with you, even through strife,
And He has been made the heart of Ash.
