A shoot appears
A bud springs forth
A tiny leaf appears
Over the coming days
It starts to grow
Through wind and rain
The leaf holds tight
attached firmly
To the young tree
Spring turns to summer
And summer to fall
The leaf slowly changes
Fading to yellow, then brown
Finally it falls
Gently drifting
To the ground below
THe plan of the Father
It's purpose fulfilled
When spring comes again
New growth will appear
