A DATE WITH GOD
When was your last date with God? How often do you date God? If even you have a date with God, where do you keep the date? All these questions affect our spiritual lives. As Christians we need to always have dates with God- commune and fellowship with Him. It is so obvious to discover that we keep our dates with our friends, fiancé, spouses etc but we can’t keep dates with God, the creator of our body, soul and spirit. When dating someone, we make all plans, preparation and keep to time without hesitation. We can go the extra mile just to see that our date is thriving well not minding all that we pass through. If we can do all theses to humans, I see no reason why we can’t do this to God and even much more. God desires our fellowship and commune with Him on a daily basis. This is our date.
We as Christians should always date God. We should always ask God out on dates and keep to time, doing all the plans and preparation that we can do to meet up with our date. When we date our friends, we clean-up ourselves and make sure that we finally enjoy the atmosphere. We can do to God like wise. God is longing for out dating moments with him to strengthen, bless and make us triumphant in every area of our lives. But if we can’t keep our date with God, we can’t really get the best that God has for us.
