“You question the love I have for you,
And complain about your trial,
When you find yourself blue;
And thus, My truth you defile;

“I’ve endured bloodshed,
Striving against sin;
By My loss on the cross,
I’ve paid the cost for you to win;
By spilt blood, I’ve made good,
Even though you’ve been rude.
Endure as I; I’ve set the pace,
And you’ll surely win the race;

“Your disdain My answer ‘no,’
Which I have said to make you grow.
Now you turn your heart from me,
Not knowing My plan for your victory.

“Now you’re drawn by a winking eye,
My promise to you, you’ve set by.
All for an empty fleeting pleasure,
You have turned from My good measure;

“I’ve endured bloodshed,
Striving against sin;
By My loss on the cross,
I’ve paid the cost for you to win;
By My death and My pain,
I’ve made way all for your gain.
This, My strength, My holy horn.
This My joy before you were born;

“Take up the cross,
And don’t be like the others;
My promise to you, beyond the blue.
I’ll delight to call you all My brothers!

“I am better than your religious rules,
I ‘m better than any precious jewels;
I satisfy beyond any earthly joy;
All My promises are not coy.

“Follow Me, you’ll be free,
You will see your victory.
You’ll have time to praise Me,
For I have given you eternity.”



“For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin.”—Hebrews 12:3-4
