Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life
That's Blessing!

God has given His angels charge over us and goodness and mercy are like twin angels watching over us. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him. When we speak God’s words, His promises, we embolden the angels to act in our behalf- They are ministering spirits called to minister to those who are heirs of salvation-you and I. They are there 24/7.

Another way of looking at this verse is that His mercies are new every morning-following you wherever you go. His presence shall go with you. His love is unfailing, boundless and as strong as ever.
(Lam3:22-23, EX33:14, Ps32:10, -33:18, -:51:10)

Notice the confidence with which David begins this verse. That is the type of confidence God wants you to have about Him. That type of confidence does not come overnight. It comes with intimacy and intimacy takes time and effort. God wants you and I to come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and have grace to help in time of need. He does not want us to cast away our confidence, knowing that in it is a great reward.(Heb4:16,-10:35,Ps27:4-6)

He is a good God and He is good all the time. He is the Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious; extra-ordinarily patient and abundant in goodness and in truth. His mercies endure forever. Glory be to Him!(Ex34:6)
