Marriage
Love Sparked The Flame
Love is the spark
That ignited the the flame
That warmed their hearts
When they mentioned His name
God spoke the word
The Son had obeyed
He offered His life
The price had been paid
All hope was gone
The tomb was sealed
The gaping wound
Would never be healed
This they thought
As they walked along
Toward Emmaus
Away from the throng
Their hearts had been broken
Along with their dream
Nothing could repair them
So it would seem
Then suddenly
He came along
All hope was renewed
Along with their song
He cheered them up
He was alive
Faced with that fact
Their faith could now thrive
His presence from them
Would never depart
Love sparked the flame
That now grew in their heart

Beautiful poem! Though it stumbled in a few spots, I love the rhythm.
