Encouragement
This is the day that the Lord has made, and I will…
…walk in it as a child of God, forever forgiven, forever loved.
…never again doubt His love for me. When the storms of life come near, I will hold on to His love, His grace, and His power. And I will find that they are all…sufficient.
…come boldly to His throne. I will step into the prayer room, confident of His willingness to hear my prayers, to answer my prayers, and to give me what I need, when I need it.
…resist temptation. It’s coming, and when it does I will cling to the Rock of my salvation. Holding tight to Him, He will see me through any trick the devil throws at me.
And when I do fall (and I will), He will pick me up, dust me off, and set my feet back on the path that He has chosen for me.
…trust in His Word. I will understand, to the very core of my soul, that what lies within are precious promises that I can count on, lean on, trust in, and turn to.
…tell others of His love. Tell…and show. For this is how they will know that I am His, by the love I show to them, a love that after all, was shown to me first.
…know that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. That He is in control, and has a plan for me. It is a plan not to harm, but to heal. Not for evil, but for good. Not for defeat, but for victory.
…accept the finished work that was accomplished at Calvary. For it was there that my Savior took upon Himself all of my sins, and made atonement for me. So that I may…
…accept the free gift, once and for all, of Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
Eternally forgiven, eternally secure.
So on this day…it starts.
And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope. – Ephesians 3:17-20 (NLT)
