1Cor.10:13
13No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.



What you need to know about trials
.They are common to all
(1Cor10:13,1Pet.4:12-13; 2Cor.4:8-9)
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but not crushed and broken. We are perplexed because we don’t know why things happen as they do, but we don’t give up. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going. (2Cor.4:8-9)

Paul: we patiently endure sufferings and hardship and trouble of every kind. We have been beaten, put in jail, faced every angry mobs, working to exhaustion, stayed awake through sleepless nights watching and gone without food.

We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we ware not demoralized; we’re not sure what to do, we know that God know what to do; we’ve been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side; we’ve been thrown down, but we haven’t broken. Amp

Our hearts ache, but at the same time we have the joy of the Lord. We are poor, but we give rich spiritual gifts to others. We own nothing, and yet we enjoy everything.

These sufferings of ours are for your benefit….
That is why, we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our inner strength in the Lord is growing every day. These troubles are sufferings of ours are after all quite small and won’t last very long. Yet this short time of distress will result in God’s richest blessings upon us forever and ever.

So we do not look at what we can see at the moment, the troubles all around us, but we look forward to the joys in heaven which we have not yet seen. The troubles will soon be over, but the joys to come will last for ever.

I’ve worked much harder , been jailed more often, beaten more times than I can count, and at death’s door time after time. I’ve been flogged five times with the Jew’s thirty-nine lashes, beaten by Roman rods three times, pummelled with rocks once, I‘ve been shipwrecked three times, and immersed in an open sea for a night and day. In hard travelling year in and year out, I’ve had to ford rivers, fend off robbers, struggle with friends, struggle with foes. I’ve been at risk in the city, at risk in the country, endangered by desert sun and sea storm, and betrayed by those I thought were my brothers. I’ve known drudgery and hard labour, many a long and lonely night without sleep, many a missed meal, blasted by the cold, naked to the weather. 2Cor.11:

•They are temporary, especially when viewed in the light of eternity, ‘It came to pass.
Every problem has an expiry date (2Cor.4:16-18)
•They have a noble purpose ; they are necessary, essential, they are working for us, perfecting our faith which is more precious than gold that needs the dross removed; (2Cor.3:18, 1Pet.1:6-7)
•God only allow what you can bear
•God always makes a way of escape- cope
•They are working for us now and for eternity
•Through it all God is faithful and He will bring you through if you look to Him in spite of what you face.
