Faith

They scolded Him and mocked Him
They didn’t believe in Him,
Calling Him a fake and a phony
Still, He loved them just the same
I would love to have love like He did

A woman with a blood disease touched Him
In her faith, she believed this touch would heal her
Jesus turned and said, “thy faith hath made thee whole”
I would love to have faith like that

They arrested Him for healing on the Sabbath
They tortured Him and punished Him
Perhaps for healing their son or daughter
They crucified Him, taking a thief in exchange for his life
Yet, the Lamb still cried, “Father, forgive them;
For they know not what they do”
I would love to have forgiveness like that

Men of the world turn their back on Him
They do not realize He died for them
They do not understand that He is no longer dead,
But alive in Heaven, waiting to forgive our sins,
And change the interior of our heart and soul,
If only they would ask
I would love for them to have faith in Him.
