In the midst of angry moments
When tempers rise and flare,
Have you ever stopped to wonder
How you'd feel if God stood there?

Imagine what would happen
If you would pause and place
Jesus' sweet reflection
On your opponent's face.

Instead of an angry expression
You'd see love and caring there
And so much serenity
That you would have to stare.

How could you stay angry
Peering at His face?
Why, in just an instant
Pain and rage would be displaced.

Jesus radiates love and warmth
So hatred would melt away.
In the sweet presence of God,
Hostility could not stay!

The sight of One so dear to us
Would restore good will once more
And your heart would be uplifted
As you send anger out the door!

You would feel so inspired
And filled with God's merciful grace.
Then, others would begin to see
His reflection in YOUR face.

What a blessed poem, beautifully written from a pen of someone who reflects Jesus in her face and actions. Sis. Peggy, your words are like honey to one's soul. Your message here is tried and true. Thanks for sharing and God bless you! Gloria

How true Jesus taught us to love those who hurt us and to do good unto all men.

"You would feel so inspired
And filled with God's merciful grace.
Then, others would begin to see
His reflection in YOUR face."

My dearest Peggy, it is not hard to see God's reflection in your face. This poem is simply beautiful and so very uplifting and inspiring! Yes if we could see God in our opponents face it would certainly change things wouldn't it. I love this poem and I LOVE YOU!!! Hugs, Sharon
