Eight months pregnant,
No boyfriend by my side,
A pocket full of cigarettes,
A mouth full of lies.

Failures ever present,
Don't know my family,
I just finished my six-pack,
Can you lend me some money?

What I would be
Without my Jesus Christ?
Well, I'm sure you clearly see.
A close call was given;
A sigh of relief was breathed.

Curled up in loneliness,
No dreams or goals,
Not a friend in sight,
Or a warm hand to hold.

Wanting more of the world,
Letting out a plea,
Looking for security through addictions,
That haunt my very sleep.

Rock bottom I've hit;
Yet, someone stepped in.
He filled the void;
He replaced this sin.

He saved my life
In more than one way.
He set me free;
Praise God! I am alive today!
