A Running Father and A walking son

Luke 15:20 - "So he returned home to his father"

Why did he go to his father? Tragedy could happen in every people's life. God speak to us through the tragedy. Tragedy must be a turning point in our life. Tragedy can push a person into death or despair. But in the life of this prodigal son, tragedy was leading him to confession. He was in utter failure. Financially he was down. He has nothing in the hands that he has taken from his home, no pants, shirts, etc...

The Son who has gone in fullness has come with nothing. (Went abundantly but brought nothing back). Here Father represents as God the father and He receives the son who is coming with confession.

The View of the Father- he Identified and saw him from the long distance.

Son has remembered father only on the day of his way back to home, but Father remembered him daily.

Who has seen first? Before son could see the Father, the Father saw him from long distance. Yes, He is a Father who knows our every single step. "You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my every thought when far away. (Ps 139:2). This is a statement that said about God by David.

Before we know Him, He knew us. When I was formed in the womb of my mother He knew me. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. (Ps 139:15)

The eyes of the Lord that searches all around the world. Father was awaiting his son's return. This old man was sitting in that portico for years. A father who never forsake nor forget.

There was a big physical difference in the son's body. His face was dark, there was a change in shape, but even though the Father identified him. What ever may be our situation, But Father knows us better than anyone else.

Compassionate heart- The Father must have, have a heart of revenge. Even he was eating the pods, which was feeding for pigs, and then also there was no compassion in the heart of his master. You wont find any compassion in the heart of masters of this world. But there was a great compassion in the heart of heavenly Father. This son was crying for little rice, because too hungry. No one in this world will feel compassion for us. But here is Father who has felt compassion for you. In Mathew 14:14, "When he saw the multitude His heart moved with compassion". Compassion is a character of Jesus. There were different peoples in the crowds with different issues. People who has lost everything, barren women's, people's whose financial status were zero, disabled, childless parents etc,,, Before people could request , Jesus healed them.

Lazar had two sisters and when they cried before the Lord, His heart moved with compassion. Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow he is the same and He is a compassionate Father.

Compassion is a Divine (Holy) weakness of the Lord. The God who created the sea, wind and who made everything thing on this planet, will He feel compassion?

Son thought that the Father will beat him, but He felt compassion.

Saw from far distance- (His eyes)
Felt Compassion - (His heart)
Ran to Him - (His legs)

A running Father and a walking Son. Here Father runs and Son is walking. The legs of the sons are shivering, because it is the legs of evil, the legs of fear, the legs of guilty and the legs of impurity.

Bu the legs of the father were steady and fable. His legs are leg of love. It has speed. No one can stop it. Father is running and Son is walking, within few seconds, the years of Gap is going to be restored. The essence of the Gospel is Man's approach to God. We should not see God as a creature who stands very far away from us, rather When Father and sons are meeting each other is the Christian life.

Walked near to His son- (Legs)
Embraced him - (His hands)
Kissed him - (Love)

Wow what an amazing moment.

God has no short sight. His eyes are very sharp. His legs are so fast; no one can stop the legs of love. His hands are so soft. The Father and Son has become one and as no one can separate them each other. Jesus asks: 'who can snatch from my hand?" No one will snatch them away from me.
