Poetry
I came to His door,
empty, full of aggressions and anger,
rapping on the doorway,
skepticism blossoms, an air of arrogance flourishes,
jolting my enormous sense of self.
Am I worthy to enter His Kingdom?
Have I waited too long to be welcomed?
My load's painful and my life a squander.
My years away have been long,
bursting with transgressions and callousness.
The entryway opens,
outstretched arms reach out to encircle me,
His voice says, "Enter my lost one, welcome to my home,
come; come dine with me my wandering one,
I offer you forgiveness, faith, hope and love."
