I have been called to the highest calling one can ever have.
Yet, I take it so lightly,
Living each day for myself.
Father, forgive me.

How desperate I should be
To inform the desperate hearts of today
Of your mending, perfect love.

Please don’t allow the obstacles of this world
To make my fire fade.
For the dust of mediocrity
Is settling on my every day.
I will rise in the name of Jesus and refuse.

I will call for strength from You
To stand when the battle approaches.
With the armor of God set firmly in place,
I will brush up and prepare for war.

May your absolute truth encircle me
And be the center of my claim.
Your righteousness guard my heart
From the sin wishing to sneak in.
Your peace to calm my anxious steps,
So only your path they will touch.

Lord, my faith will block my weakened vessel
From the strikes of loss and strife.
May the head of my win
Be the sacrifice of life given to me on Calvary.
May the power of His Spirit be my weapon of choice;
One that will never fail.

Lord, I’ll fall, but a lesson I’ll learn.
I’ll brush up today
And tomorrow, I’ll stand.
