You have fallen, the dark is near;
Repentance calling, with grievous tear;
The eye of One, who made your spirit,
The Father’s Son wants you to hear it;

Hear it in me, to regain light,
Find yourself free, in His might;
For this is true: I had fallen;
Kind to renew, this Repentance calling;
I know so well, His mercy’s way;
Saved me from hell, and Satan’s sway;
Then when I fall, He comes to me;
I hear His call, ‘cross darkened sea;
He bids me come to His wounded side,
And I’m undone, with broken pride;

So I know you, too, with saddened state;
Spirit black and blue, as demons berate;
But my heart aches; please come with me;
The Spirit quakes to have you free;

So say you: “I can’t alone,”
You’re cold, it’s true, right to the bone;
I’ll take you near, to warm your flesh;
My friend, you’re dear; my spirit’s mesh;
Drifting feather, can’t find your way;
We’ll find it together, and there we’ll stay;

Strike the cord, of my brotherly love;
Brother adored, declared thereof;
We’ll fight the foe of our souls,
With deadly blow, with Christ as goal,
And when we fall, we’ll come together;
We’ll hear His call, for drifting feathers;
To each other we’ll come; our wounded sides;
Gratef’lly undone, with no place for pride.




“Two are better than one,
Because they have a good reward for their labor.
For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.
But woe to him who is alone when he falls,
For he has no one to help him up.
Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm;
But how can one be warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him.
And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”—Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

“Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For each one shall bear his own load.”—Galatians 6:1-5
