CHAPTER ONE.

IN THE BEGINNING.




“This is Capitol WireF.M We are interrupting all programmes to bring you an URGENT news bulletin. I repeat, this is an URGENT news bulletin! The government are issuing a warning to all of you in the Sunnyside Village area. A huge tornado is heading towards us! I repeat, a huge tornado is heading towards Sunnyside Village! We are expecting winds of up to 150 miles per hour! Take all your animals inside. Head to your basements, quickly. Take food, water and blankets. I repeat, this is a government health warning. Lock your windows and doors. Do not come out until you are advised to do so. Fifteen minutes to impact and counting! This is Shona Clarke for Capitol Wire
FM.!”

And that is where it all began. From the nothingness of a sleepy little village came the madness that was about to change the lives of many. Forever.

“Get up you lazy animal!” Harro would bellow at her at six every morning.
“There is work to be done here! I saved you! Rescued you from rack and ruin! Never, EVER forget it! MISS GRACE! Or should I say, DIS-GRACE! Because if you do, well, you know what will happen to you, don’t you my dear?” He sneered
“Y, yes Sir.” She stuttered.
Harro had always threatened that if Grace did not get up and do her work quickly enough, he would shrink her and put her inside a glass bottle for the rest of her days.
“But you know my dear,” he would say
“You would make a GREAT showpiece for my circus! Ha ha ha!”
And with a swish of his cape, he was gone. For that moment anyway.Grace was terrified.
