Needing your hair permed and can't find the rollers,
You went to visit the doctor who, during an argument, called you a misnomer:

We are here to sooth your hurts,

Changing diapers inspite of the "peeyew!",
Getting that business report in that is almost past due:
Counseling that young woman who was physically abused,
Placing a cold compress on a bruise;

Taking you out for a nice cup of tea,
Despite the fact that mothers and daughters don’t always agree:
