Could you imagine that teenage boys can be very vain.
Unless there is good parental control they will do a ‘Michael Jackson’ on themselves all too easily.
This was what happened to this boy bubbling with youthful exuberance. He wanted to be handsome and be the dandy boy of the girls in town.
He got an idea. Someone lied to him that having a diastema can make you look very attractive to the opposite sex.. This is a small gap in the front teeth. These days, people tend to make sure there are no gaps in the teeth. However if this happens naturally, it can look nice.
This boy had seen it in his uncle’s teeth and thought: ‘That looks nice on him; . I will like to have that someday.’
He proceeded to fulfil his dream.
One day by taking a good kitchen knife and closed the door behind him and began a dental surgery on himself.. He started by digging a hole between his teeth until he had a gap by chipping the corners. He then proceeded from the incisors to the canine teeth and made another gap, thinking the more gap you have, the more attractive you will become.
Unfortunately he went too far and instead of a small gap he has two express ways from chipping the corners of his teeth.
Today at 53 he looks in the mirror and wonders how he could be so daft, naive and deceived to turn a mad scientist, beautician and dental surgeon all rolled into one at his teenage. But the damage had been done.
He has been wishing and wishing the gap would close. But only a miracle or a visit to a proper dentist, followed by a hefty bill will make a difference.

Parents, warn your children not to make a detour in to Vanity Street before it is too late.

Do not say I did not tell you.
