There is a struggle and we all at one point in time of our lives go through trying and difficulty moments.
There is a misconception that christians must not go through difficult times but we are all witnesses to the trying times of believers in the bible stories we have read.for every struggle we contend with there is an opponent to defeat.And we sometimes choose our battles due to the fact that we are sure of the end result and its spoil after our victory.

There are battles we engage ourselves with and even if we lose we feel no remorse or disappointment because there is no significance to its value.

I was refused a visa so what, i lost that business deal so what, i was jilted by a girlfriend so what.These are disappointments that carry no future significance and there are gains in the long run.so we can afford to lose and yet be contented with it.

But there are certain battles we must not lose because if we do we have lost the very reasons for our existence.And what is the battle xlike that we must not lose?

It is the feeling battle.we all have feelings that predominantly determine howwe relate and react to persons and events around us daily.
Our feelings can either be influenced by our understanding of what we are doing or we are suppose to do.secondly, our feelings can also be influenced by our passions and emotions to those things.
When these two influences conflict there is a struggle between emotion and understanding.
In the scripture we read our apostle paul was lamenting with his struggles in the book of Romans, that the things i don't want to do are what i do.Also we read in other bible text that of jOHN IN HIS BOOKS SAYING , LOVE NOT THE WORLD AND THINGS that are in the world if any man love the world the love of God is not in hin.

Thus means , there are certain things we know within us that are sinful, we know smoking is bad to our health, yet we still smoke,why?
we all know fornication is a sin , still prostitution is still the fastest growing business, why? you and i know that stealing or slandering vour brother is evil but we still engage in it.The reasons for all this are not because we want to doit but because we have failed to draw a line between our feelings.

The greatest enemy we have is ourselves.And it is only when we realise that we have ourselves to contend with we can never win the most one sided battle in history.

That is why is difficult to stop sinning because the understanding not to commit sin is betrayed by our emotions and passions which are tied to sin.
The way forward is draw a line to your number one enemy.
The battle for feelings is on and we must not lose this prcious fight that will either make or mar our daily christian living.
