Today I came across the strangest thing and it still puzzles me. I was exploring in the kitchen when I noticed something different about the fridge, there was an odd piece of square glass on the door. Like the windows but I didn’t see the outside but a similar world. Everything I saw in the glass was behind me except for the very beautiful kitten, which only appeared in the glass.

She was all white besides her ears and heels, where she had gray and orange tabby patches. Her wonderful tiger tail made her look fierce and brave. She had the most gorgeous golden eyes that glowed with love and determination. Every7time I coked my head she did to. If I perked my ears or lifted a paw she did the same. I was pondering why she did what I did and if she could see me when Coco strutted up smacked his tail against my face, purred “idiot,” and then pranced off.

I don’t like him as much as I do others. I tried being friends once but he hissed at me. He acts like he owns the whole world, if not the house, even though he doesn’t even have claws. Spice walked up and sat next to me. She is a very old and very wise Siamese. I like her although she’s boring, all she doesn’t do anything but sit on the couch. She says she’s twelve years old, that’s more than ten years! She told me what the glass was and told me about it. I still don’t get but I’m working on it.

“That’s a mirror, Sugar,” she said and of course I was confused. “Humans use it to look at themselves. They are very particular about how their faces look.” I thought I was beginning to get it so I asked “kind of how we can’t be dirty”? “Yes, and the cat you see is you,” she expanded before going back to the couch.

I’m still not sure that cat is me, she’s so perfect. I wish I could go back to it and see if Spice was right but the humans put up at their eye level. Oh well, all this new human stuff is exhausting, maybe I’ll have it sorted out after a good nap.
