There are many people out there in the world right now that are angry and not understanding why God is not blessing their lives. Yet they themselves are living in sin and not following God’s Word. Oh, now they justify what they are doing by saying, “I prayed about this” or “I believe this is what God wants me to do.” But if you read the Bible, you find that God says what they are doing is wrong and sinful.

There are those that have head knowledge of Christ, but no heart knowledge. “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:” II Tim. 3:5 (KJV). They give their situation and there problem and you give the Biblical answer to fix it, but only excuses come out of their mouth. Like, “I know it’s wrong, but…” or my favorite; you're living in sin, don’t go to church, don’t read your Bible, and they say, “I prayed and God told me …”

I am going to say this without watering it down. If you’re living in a sin or sins and you are not following God’s Word and you believe you’re buddy-buddy with God. Let me help you…

IT ISN’T HAPPENING!!

If so then God is a liar, because the Bible says God HATES sin. So if you are living in sin, which God said not to do, and you believe you are really close to God, if I were you I would really check out my position of where I stood, because in Matt. 7:21-23 it states, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doeth the will of the Father which is in heaven. Many shall say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

I am not saying that everyone that lives in sin is going to be cast out because there are those who have seared their conscience with sin, however, I am saying just because you say you and God are best friends, doesn’t make it so. If you are living in sin and are trying to convince others that you are God’s right hand man or woman, you are only fooling yourself. Look at your life, see what you’re doing that you know doesn’t line up with the Word of God. Once you know what it is, get rid of it, whether it be things on the Internet you shouldn’t be looking at, or movies, or alcohol, or what ever.

I want you to know that God loves you and He will take you back or if you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior He will save you if you ask, but He does not agree nor condone the sin in your life. You may justify it in your own mind, but it won’t hold up in God’s courtroom. I don’t wish to be harsh or judgmental, but too many people are living in blatant sin and saying God is ok with it, when in fact God says it is an abomination to Him. We need to get back to where sin is sin, black is black, white is white; there is no Grand Canyon gray area. And there is no my sin is the exception to the rule. Sorry, read your Bible, God loves you, hates the sin. You must come to God on His terms not ours.

I challenge you and encourage you to search your life. If there is something your trying to keep hidden, realize that God sees it and you will be judged by it. Seek God’s forgiveness, turn towards Him, let Him lead and you follow. Read II Chronicles 7:14 below and do what it says, you won’t regret it.

II Chronicles 7:14 ~ “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
