Timmy spent a lot of his time with the teacher. Most of the other kids wanted to stay away and enjoy their freedom on the playground. This was especially true for Tommy. Tommy was rude, crude, and often would punch and kick the other kids. Tommy would never spend time with the teacher.

One day the teacher was not there, and Timmy was all alone. Tommy came from behind the school and started too punch and kick Timmy. The teacher was not there, but when the teacher came back Tommy was forced to spend his playground time with the teacher.

Timmy didn’t like Tommy, and who could blame him, so Timmy went away from him and the teacher. After a few days Timmy realized life was harder away from the teacher and other boys and girls punched and kicked just like Tommy. Timmy learned to punch and kick like Tommy punched and kicked him.

While Timmy was learning to punch and kick, Tommy was learning to be nice and kind. Tommy even began to enjoy spending time with the teacher. Tommy forgot about all the times he would punch and kick and he looked down on the other boys and girls who would punch and kick. Tommy felt better than all the other kids.

Timmy didn’t like Tommy.

This story is a reminder to me that how we behave may have a lot to do with our environment. If we spend time with the ungodly, we may soon be like them, if we don't also spend some time with our Teacher, the Lord. Thank you for the reminder. God bless.
