Secure my beating heart
Secure my beating heart
For I flounder in the morass
And I slip and I slip
And I am filthied
And I fall and I fall
And I am bedraggled and limp
And with out progress
Secure my beating heart
Nail me to your truss
So that my foundations are rammed
And my feet go deep
Into your being
Secure my beating heart
To your living rock
For upon You I can slip and fall
And you hold me
In your crevasses
And I do not die
Secure my beating heart
To the harrowed earth
I peg my wanderings
I unpack my essence
I change my ground to You
And enclose myself in your worship pavilion.
Squeeze my beating heart
Wring me out and
Pour me into our living image.
Undilute me into your fragrant cordial
Mix me into your swirling waters
Concentrate my thinness
Into a drink offering suitable for You.
