A Symphony of Love

It is the wish of our heavenly Father that all Christians use their gifts to build up the body of Christ.

Using our gifts to build up the body of Christ ensures that the church is strengthened helping it to function properly and enjoy harmony.

Whether you have the gift of mercy or administration, remember that each spiritual gift is essential for edifying the church and advancing the kingdom of God.

Maintaining the healthy perspective that your gift is necessary – and that all are equally important – will extend your ministry to others with both humility and genuine love.

1 Corinthians 13:1 makes the simple yet profound statement. “If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.”

Without compassion, your works amount to nothing more than making noise or disturbing the peace. But when the body of Christ works as designed, it creates a wonderful, harmonious symphony.

When we minister to others, let us remember that we do so with the aim of creating a beautiful melody for our Father in heaven.
