This 11year-old boy had just had his birthday early in the month of June and had a birthday present from his Dad, but he wanted another present just three weeks later; and so he thought of how to tune Daddy into his ‘spending frequency’. He had been going through a catalogue and had just found something he wanted;
So he began, “Daddy, you know Christmas is round the corner. “

“Which Christmas are you talking about in June? Christmas is six months away!, the father replied.” He knew his son had something up his sleeves.

“Well,” the boy continued, “Christmas is not far away and I was just wondering what you would want for Christmas."
“I see,” the father said, “I don’t want anything, thank you.”
“Do you not?” the boy continued, “Well, I do. I have just seen a game which I know you would like me to have because it is educational. Come on, daddy! .”

“Son it is too early to talk of Christmas presents. So you were asking me what I wanted for Christmas because you had a plan in mind, eh?”
They both burst out laughing. The son denied his gimmicks.

Watch them, and let them know you have been here long when they try to tune you into their spending frequency.
