I love my country-I love this land-
Her mountains and deserts-My, aren't they grand?
The oceans and prairies-the great skies of blue-
As a child I rode the trains and oh! What a view.

This country has been good to me and my family too-
When thinking how we have never had a reason to feel blue,
I have lived in seven states and seen many more-
Yes, you could say, I'm American to the core.

I'll tell you about some of my favorite places-
Many of them have wide open spaces,
Niagra her falls, the two oceans so vast make me feel new,
When I think how lucky I am, tears fall down like dew.

I love the prairies of Texas and Kansas too,
Wheat fields waving in the breezes make a great view-
Oklahoma is one of my favorite states,
But the truth is-being an American is a lovely fate.

Yes, I am an American through and through-
Never felt hunger- nor the need to be blue,
Waving our flag of red, white and blue-
Saying "God bless America and all of us, too."
