Post Deliverance Depression?

Are you suffering from Post Deliverance Depression? Have you lost your desire to get close with God?

So many people who have found God are in the infatuation stage of a love relationship with Him. When the newness wears off, and prayers are not answered in the way we would like, we begin to suffer from PDD.

Is there a cure? Yes, there is and you can’t take a pill for it.

God desires intimacy with His children. He’s not going to chase after you. He wants you to come to Him. He longs to be in relationship with you. To put it bluntly – solitary confinement. One on one time.

God can speak to you in a corporate setting – like a church service or a group event – but he desires intimacy with you. If you are a parent, you know how you feel when your child grows up and wants to be with friends, actually, anyone but you. I can only imagine how God must feel when we choose to stay away from Him – for whatever the reason.

We don’t have to suffer from PDD, we have the cure right in front of us. Take your Bible right now. Open it up and begin reading it. There in His Presence, seek Him, ask Him for His love, His companionship, His guidance. He’s waiting for you.
