How long hs it been since i've seen the day?
So many miles bathed in my tears--
Frozen over, growing colder--
Nothing behind but wasted years.

Travelling down this frozen road,
Resistance much stronger than before.
The load on my back grows heavier.
This ice won't support anymore.

Do i have to drag my baggage?
Do i have to cry?
I thought this was as good as it got--
What a pack of lies!

The world has lied all this time,
plaguing me with its diseases.
What can heal my pain and forgive my debt?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

Tear this thorn from my side!
Wipe this world's deceit from my eyes!
Wash my clean!
My heart, my soul, my life redeem!
I'll live for you now, O God!
It's time I see the dawn!
Vindication received--
I'll see the dark angel's defeat!
