YOUR BUTT IS CONNECTED TO YOUR BRAIN

Have you seen the movie "Dead Poet's Society" with Robin Williams? There is a scene where his character gets on top of his desk and talks about a change of perspective. Then he makes all the students get up on the desk to look at the room differently. In one teaching moment, he takes his students out into the quad area for a change of perspective. Or the scene where he walks the students out into the hallway to look at the photos of students past saying "Carpe Diem boys, seize the day."

Why does my daughter remember field trips so well?

It's because her rear end is connected to her brain or where she sits affects how she thinks.

Change of place + change of pace = change of perspective.

How about having your volunteer leader meetings somewhere outside of the church?
How about having a leader gathering somewhere other than the church kitchen?
I once took the entire student group into the restroom to get a sense of what it must have been like to be jammed in a hut while 4 friends lowered their pal through the roof to get to Jesus. (It also helps that our restrooms are immaculate!)
We did a random small group/book reading out on some land property outside under the stars.
